Privacy Policy

Your Data Stays on Your Device

Slotted^™ is designed with privacy at its core. Your schedule, including time blocks and standalone blocks, is stored locally on your Mac in Slotted's own database. Slotted does not send the contents of your schedule to Hopeful, and Hopeful operates no servers that receive your data.

Your Things 3 Data is Read-Only

Slotted^™ reads your Things 3 tasks so it can show them beside your schedule. Access is strictly read-only: the Things 3 database is opened with SQLite's read-only flag, there are no write statements against it anywhere in the app, and Slotted cannot modify, delete, or corrupt your Things 3 data. Access is granted by you on first launch and stored as a security-scoped bookmark that points only at the Things 3 group container.

Calendar Access

If you enable calendar events, Slotted^™ reads events from your macOS calendars through Apple's EventKit so it can display them on your schedule. Calendar data is read-only and is used only on your device to draw the grid. Slotted does not transmit your calendar events anywhere.

iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is optional and off unless you turn it on. When enabled, Slotted^™syncs your schedule across your own devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under your own iCloud account. Your data stays within your Apple account and is not sent to Hopeful or any third party. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

No Account Required

Slotted^™ does not require you to create an account with Hopeful, sign in, or provide any personal information. There is no registration and no email collection. iCloud Sync uses the iCloud account you are already signed into on your Mac, with no additional setup.

No Analytics or Tracking

Slotted^™ does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data, device information, or any form of telemetry. Slotted makes no network calls except to your own iCloud account when sync is enabled.

Data Collection Summary

Hopeful does not collect any data through Slotted^™. For the purposes of platform app-store privacy disclosures, we confirm that we do not collect any of the following data types: contact information, health & fitness data, financial information, location data, sensitive information, contacts, user content, browsing history, search history, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, or any other data. No data is collected for tracking, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

Children's Privacy

Slotted^™ is not directed to children. Hopeful does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone through Slotted, including children under the age of 13. The app does not contain advertising.

California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Since Slotted^™ does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to Hopeful, there is no data to disclose, delete, or sell. We do not sell personal information to any third party.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Since Slotted^™ does not collect any personal data, changes to this policy are expected to be minimal.
